Consists of albums of historical postcards featuring campus buildings and scenes, sports, bands, Allerton Park, Assembly Hall, the President's house, Krannert Center, the football stadium, and more. Also includes souvenir stamps and envelopes featuring Red Grange and John Bardeen.

Collection Historical Note

Barbara (Lee) Anderson was born in Chicago, IL on November 28, 1934. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1957 and married James L. Anderson. Barbara was a fiber artist and freelance journalist who wrote for several stamp periodicals, as well as an avid stamp collector and exhibitor. She was also a member of the American Philatelic Society, the C-U Spinner and Weaver's Guild, the Urbana Stamp Club, the Urbana Tree Commission, Champaign County Democrats, C-U Herb Society, and the Oratorio Society, and the founder of HIPS, the first environmental recycling organization in Urbana. Barbara Anderson passed away on March 11, 2017 at 82 years of age.
