Scope and Contents of the Materials
5 x 7, 2 x 3, and 1 1/4 x 1/2 glass slides from the Prairie Observatory with two accompanying logbooks (40-inch spectrograph and 40-inch direct records), documenting observations of unique phenomena and objects, including binary and multiple stars, planets, galaxies, and nebulae as well as the chemical composition of stars. Numbering of individual objects predominantly correspond to either the Henry Draper Catalog (HD) or the New General Catalogue (NGC).
