Description: The papers of Arthur Raymond Hall (1869-1955) (MA, English and Rhetoric, 1902), including correspondence, photographs, postcards, athletic artifacts, newspaper clippings, road building plans, governmental documents, speeches, diploma, programs, pamphlets, and certificates relating to his time as both a student and an athlete in football and baseball (1897-1902) as well as coach of the Illini Football team (1904, 1907-1912); his work as a lawyer in Danville and his project of building hard-surfaced roads. The series also includes athletic uniform sweaters, hats, and gear from his time at the University of Illinois (1897-1912).
