William C. Prather Papers, 1944-1944

Description: Papers of William C. Prather (1922-    ), A.B. 1942, L.L.D. 1947 contain photograph album of images of French countryside, villages, cities, beaches, and individuals (allied soldiers and French civilians) and Cuff of the Wind, a 254 page typescript containing letters written home from Prather's March 1944 deployment to England through to his December 1945 return to the United States and providing an account of his experience as in the U.S. Army in England, and in campaigns in Normandy, Ardennes, and the Rhineland, as well as a member of the American Military government in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany.
