Biographical Note for Bristol, Evelyn (1925-2006) : Evelyn Bristol was born on May 25, 1925.  She was a professor of Slavic Languages and Literature and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 1965 to 2003.  Bristol authored "A History of Russian Poetry" (Oxford University Press, 1960) and over 60 different articles, encyclopedia entries and reviews on Russian Literature.
