Administrative History of Creating Unit
Established under the Graduate College in 1959, the Graduate School of Business Administration develops executives for business and professions, teachers of business administration and researchers in business problems and operations and provides professional training for students with baccalaureate degrees in fields other than commerce as well as those students with backgrounds in commerce and business administration.1 In 1963, the Departments of Management and Business Law were combined to form the Department of Industrial Administration.2 In 1968, the Departments of Industrial Administration and Marketing and the Graduate School of Business Administration were combined to form the Department of Business Administration.3
