Patton (1898- ), Professor of the Economics of Public Utilities (1925-27), with representatives of utility companies and Samuel Insull, concerning a public utility exhibit held at the University (May 4-May 9, 1925). The correspondence deals with procuring suitable exhibits, their transportation and installation in the gymnasium, accommodations for visitors, arranging for publicity for the event, inviting Mr. Insull as guest speaker and Mrs. Anna Petersen as demonstrator and letters of thanks to all those concerned with the exhibition. Mr. Insull spoke on "Why Do So Many Young Men Enter the Public Utility Business?" The file contains a mimeographed copy of his speech. The correspondence covers the period from February to May 1925.
