Description: Published Star Course programs (1912- ), announcements (1899, 1901, 1909, 1912- ), promotional correspondence (1926- ), and promotional headshots and materials relating to the announcement, promotion and content of musical and dramatic performances and lectures in the Star Course series. Some headshots and programs are autographed. Also included are application cards for season tickets (1937-1942) and event flyers of performances (some oversized).
Founded in 1891 as a lecture course by the Philomathean and Adelphic Literary Societies, the Star Course has been operated since 1931 under the auspices of the University Concert and Entertainment Board.
