Parmelee (1874-1947) including biographical information, correspondence, a publication list, reports, publications and memoranda regarding properties of glazes, glasses, enamels and clays; publications on sewer pipes, refractory clays, carburetors, quartz and clay solubility, coloration and devitrification of glass, X-ray diffraction, feldspar solubility, porcelain viscosity, additive effect on enamel and sample glass, and needed research in ceramic products; and memoranda in the form of a tribute (1942) from the American Ceramic Society to Dr. Parmelee. Also includes general minutes, documents, and correspondence relating to the Illinois Ceramic Institute during Parmelee's time as secretary and treasurer of the organization (1941-1942).
