Geology Department Scrapbook, 1917-72

The Geology Department has offered courses under the Department of Natural History (1868);¹ College of Natural History (1870);² College of Natural Science (1871-90);³ College of Science, School of Natural History (1891-1912)⁴ and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (1913- ).⁵ In November 1919, the Geology Department was organized on a committee basis.⁶ During this period, the Geology and Geography Department was organized, but the Geography Department became separate in 1947.⁷ The Department offers both undergraduate and graduate courses.
