Description: Posters created by Billy Morrow Jackson (1926-2006) M.F.A. '54, Professor of Art (1954-87) include pencil-autographed prints of pen and ink posters and a watercolor mock-up for a mural with label overlay relating to the civil rights movement and the agriculture department including "Stars and Bars," "Sovereign Scarecrow," and "Merry Christmas and Philadelphia" allegorically depicting a Klansman and three civil rights workers (James Chaney, Michael Schwerner, and Andrew Goodman) killed in Mississippi in 1964; and "'Agtime' Mural" depicting individuals, events, and locations associated with the history of agricultural education and the development of the agricultural program at the University of Illinois.
