Description: Papers of Edgar Lewis Erickson (1902-68), professor of history (1938-67), including correspondence, manuscripts and notes on the history of England and the British Empire, the collection and reproduction in microprint of the British Sessional Papers (1947-54); the activities of the American Historical Association's Committee on Documentary Reproduction and the Overseas Scholarship (Fulbright) program to reproduce essential foreign records; manuscripts on "The Foundation of the Civil Affairs/Military Government Doctrine of the United States Army in World War II" and "The Introduction of Coolie Labor in the West Indies" and course materials. The papers include many army publications concerning Mr. Erickson's training in Chemical Warfare (1942-43) and research as historian for the Civil Affairs/ Military Government division.
