Description: Margaret Goodman was the wife of Bernard Goodman of the University of Illinois's Symphony Orchestra. Her scrapbook contains materials about the Central and South American Tour, including: correspondence with the Department of the State concerning assignments for touring; photographs of Bernard Goodman (Conductor), Charles Delaney (Assistant Conductor), the orchestra, chamber ensembles, and individual students who traveled throughout Central and South America from January-June, 1964 on a State Department sponsored tour; newspaper clippings (e.g., Champaign-Urbana News Gazette, The Daily Illini, Chicago Tribune, and newspapers from Honduras, Mexico City, Guadalahara, Caracas, Sao Paula); correspondence; airway bills; itineraries; maps; concert programs; reviews; pennants; collection of folk music; postcards; and telegrams.
