Description: Papers of Daniel C. Drucker (1963-1971), Dean of the College of Engineering (1968-1984), contain copies of publications and speeches, correspondence, and news releases concerning Drucker's tenure as dean; his participation in the the National Academy of Engineering's symposium "Engineering for the Benefit of Mankind" (1970) and the "Effective Teaching Institute for Engineering Teachers" (1971); and his collaborations with colleagues regarding publications and invitations to present papers at conferences. Speeches include "Engineering and Society" (1970), "Plastic Deformation in Brittle and Ductile Fracture" (1968), "What is an Engineer," and "The Increasing Role of the Engineer in Improving our Environment" (1969).
