Williams (1882-1950) (A.M., 1918, Ph.D., 1931), Secretary to the Committee on the Appointment of Teachers (1918-50), principal of University High School (1921-32), instructor and professor of Education (1922-50) contains correspondence, survey reports, annual reports of the University of Illinois' Committee on the Appointment of Teachers (1910-1940), teacher placement sample forms and completed applications. Williams was integrally involved in the Illinois Teacher Placement Association and the National Institutional Teacher Placement Association.
