Description: Papers of Edwin M. Adams (1914-2008) (BA 1936, LLB 1939) contain scripts, screenplays, drafts of novels, poems, a memoir, audio recordings (1971), and correspondence (1974-75) with actors Paul Newman and Dean Jones, producer William Frye, and literary and film agents Lucianne Goldberg, Carrie Craig, Audrey Wood, and Katharine Brown concerning attempts to produce the screenplay "Orphans of the Heart" and publish a novel, "The Crack"; the material in the scripts, novels, and poems are drawn from his experience in the U.S. foreign service, and the memoir covers his time as a law student at Illinois and his two careers as a diplomat and an actor.
