Description: Family account books of Delmar Wilken (1921-), Professor of Agriculture and Consumer Economics (1954-85) and head of the Illinois Farm Business Record Keeping Program (1954-85), showing family accounts recorded on forms from the University of Illinois Agriculture Extension Service containing detailed annual financial information on income (salary and investments) and expenditures, including food, household operating expenses, entertainment, medical care, charitable contributions, and transportation. This series also includes Boyhood Memories and Life History of Delmar Frances Wilken a memoir of Delmar Wilken's family heritage, childhood and schooling in Danforth, Illinois, student days at the University of Illinois (1940-47), U.S. Army service (1943-46 and 1951-52) marriage to Phyllis Anderson, work at the Pioneer Farm Bureau Farm Management Association (1948-51, 1953- ) and work as University of Illinois Extension Specialist in Farm Management (1954 -85), implementation of electronic data processing for the Farm Business Farm Management data reporting (1969-85), retirement and international travel with People-to-People program.
