Brief Description:

Oral histories of Preservation Librarians (2017-2019), done as a project by the PARS Oral History Project Working Group, containing audio recordings, timed audio log of the recordings, and resumes of interviewees, pertaining to careers at museums, academic libraries, government agencies, commercial businesses, and private practices, emergency and disaster preparedness, National Presevation Week, and preservation and conservation programs.

Interviewees include Miriam Kahn, Nancy Schrock, Julie Mosbo-Ballestro, Suzanne Kellerman, Lori Foley, Gay Walker, Barclay Ogden, Kristen Kern, Gary Menges, Giselle Simon, Ann Frellsen, Carolyn Collings, Michele Cloonan, Constance Brooks, Wesley Boomgaarden, Howard Besser, and Brian Baird.

Biographical Note for Preservation and Reformatting Section : The Preservation and Reformatting Section (PARS) of the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services focuses on the preservation and reformatting of library materials in all types of institutions and applying new technologies to assure continued access to library collections.(1) The section was formed in 1995 when the Preservation of Library Materials Section merged with the Reproduction of Library Materials Section.
