Records of the Consortium of Museum Libraries in the Chicago Area, consisting of the Consortium's history and informational brochure, correspondence (1990-1997, 2002-2007), membership directory (2004), meeting minutes and materials (1989-1997, 2006-2007), member information and brochures, membership mailings and meeting announcements (1990-1997, 2002-2004), and membership survey (1990-1991).

The Consortium's mission was to function as a forum for communication and cooperation among Chicago-area museum libraries. Cultural institutions represented included the Adler Planetarium, Art Institute, Chicago Botanic Garden, Chicago Historical Society, Chicago Public Library, Field Museum, Lincoln Park Zoo, Milwaukee Public Museum, Museum of Science and Industry, and the Shedd Aquarium. The Consortium's records were previously held by the Field Museum.
