As a public librarian and as a academic librarian, Mr. Hansen served in collection development of Literature, Architecture, Music, Film History, and Photography. As an A.L.A. member since 1981, Mr. Hansen was involved in all iterations of A.C.R.L. Arts Section, Social Responsibilities Round Table, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual,Transgender Round Table, and served twice on the Stonewall Committee.
