Laura Stalker is Avery Associate Director of The Huntington Library in San Marino, California, where she has responsibility for the operations and services of the Library. Since joining the Huntington staff in 1992 she has held various positions there, including Associate Director for Technical Services, Avery Head of Collection Development, and Head of Reader Services. Before coming to the Huntington she was the Assistant Director of the North American office of the English Short Title Catalogue.
Stalker has held many committee appointments and offices in the Rare Books & Manuscripts Section of the Association of College & Research Libraries, and served as chair of the section in 1997/98. She has published and spoken on rare book cataloguing, professional ethics, and bibliography. She received her B.A. from Rice University and her M.L.S. from the University of Texas at Austin (1).
