Photograph of Emily Wheelock Reed, worked in libraries in Detroit, Hawaii, Louisiana, Washington DC, taught library science at the University of Florida, was the former director at the Alabama Public Library, and worked for the Enoch Pratt Free Library. Most known for her part in resisting a ban on children's book The Rabbits' Wedding in the Alabama Public Library, for which she received the Freedom to Read Foundation Honor Roll Award in 2000.
