Scope and Contents of the Materials

Publications of the Journal of Documentary Reproduction, a quarterly review of the application of photography and allied techniques to library, museum and archival services in the United States, Europe and India, financially supported by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation and was under the editorship of Vernon Tate, contains articles, includes microphotography, film and photocopy techniques, equipment, supplies, preservation methods, copyright, inter-library loan, standards, applications (for individuals, institutions, companies, and governments), and select bibliographies.

Biographical Note

The object of the Reproduction of Library Materials Section (RLMS) is to assist libraries by providing an organization for the discussion of problems in, and dissemination of information about, the production, storage, and use of reproductions of library materials; and the fostering of studies and research and the promotion of uniform practices and policies in this field (1).

Formerly the Copying Methods Section (2), the name was changed to RLMS between 1959 and 1967 (3).
