The series includes correspondence of Director Peggy Barber (1973- 76), containing material on Centennial activities, the Grolier National Library Week grant for the best public relations proposal (1974-77), National Library Week activities, membership promotion and clippings from newspapers and magazines concerning library work to fight illiteracy and School Library Media Centers. For 1966-73, the series includes copies of ALA conference speeches sent to the Director.
