Date:
1900
Description:
Conference attendees sitting at a session during the ALA Annual Conference in Montreal, Canada. William E. Foster is in the front row.
Caption reads: But we must not forget that there are business sessions, largely attended in the Presbyterian College [No. 16]. This picture is a 30 second exposure unknown to the people. Note how very attentive Mr. Foster is, and a few other conscientious persons.
[In different handwriting] In fact this shows how many the speaker is holding attentive. The rest chafe under the restraint.
