Caption reads: "Students assembled in the gallery of the Library School of the University of Wisconsin to study a facsimile exhibit of manuscripts. The series on the wall is a facsimile reproduction of the Grimani Breviary, for the original in the library of St. Marks in Venice. Other items include facsimile pages from the Gutenberg Bible, from the manscripts of the Elder Edda, Froissart, and other chroniclers; also several rare books, among them examples from the houses of Aldus and the Elzeviers, and a De Jure Belli ac Pacis of Hugo Grotius."
