Biographical Note for Carhart, Jr., Forest F. (1918-2005) : Forrest F. Carhart, Jr., was born in 1918. He served on the library staff at the University of Michigan, the University of West Virginia, the University of Denver, Iowa State College, and the US Air Force Academy. In 1959, he became the director of the Library Techonology Program, and then director of the Research and Development Office. Later, in 1972, he became the executive director of the New York Metropolitan Reference and Research Library Agency. Carhart passed away on January 7, 2005 (1).
