The Archives of the H.W. Also includes ledgers of publication numbers and price rates, notes and revisions of William Poole's Index, union lists of serials and newspapers, information and clippings on the Readers' Guide, publications of fiction catalogs, bibliographies, information on libraries, H.W. Wilson's services, publication catalogs, catalog manuals, and booklists, photographs of staff, headquarters, and events, and indexes on industrial arts, education, art, essays, songs, and international publications.
Biographical Note
Founded in 1898 by Halsey William Wilson, the H.W. Wilson Company, Inc., is a publisher and indexing company. Its headquarters were located in the Bronx, New York. The company produced indexes, publications and content aimed for library patrons. In 2011, the company merged with EBSCO Publishing and the headquarters moved to Ipswich, Massachusetts.
