Biographical Note for Hopper, Nathalie D. (1897-1981) : Nathalie DeMund Hopper was born May 26, 1897 in Essex County, New Jersey and died on July 9, 1981 in Salisbury, Connecticut. During World War I, Hopper was part of the Library War Service and assigned to the US General Hospital #9 in Lakewood, New Jersey, and then to the US General Hospital #30, Plattsburg, New York. Hopper later worked for the Cutting Family in New York before retiring to a farm in Johnson, Vermont.
