Biographical Note for Hansen, Roland : Roland C. Hansen was Head of Access Services and Space Planning at Columbia College Chicago Library (2001-15); Reader Services Librarian at School of the Art Institute of Chicago Flaxman Library (1980-2001); Circulation Supervisor at Northwestern University Medical School (1979-80); and Library Assistant at Fraser Public Library, Fraser, Michigan (1975-76). As a public librarian and as a academic librarian, Mr. Hansen served in collection development of Literature, Architecture, Music, Film History, and Photography. As an A.L.A. member since 1981, Mr. Hansen was involved in all iterations of A.C.R.L. Arts Section, Social Responsibilities Round Table, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual,Transgender Round Table, and served twice on the Stonewall Committee.
