Brief Description: David H. Wallace (1926- ), Assistant Editor of the The New York Historical Society (1952-1956), Historian and Curator (1957-1968) at Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Chief of Branch Museum Operations and Division of Reference Service at the National Park Interpretive Design Center, contains reports and appendices authored by Wallace relating to the refurnishing of the Elias Haskett Derby house in Salem, MA (pre-1783), the home of Bishop William White, Philadelphia (1780's-1836), the law library of Martin Van Buren (1814), and the home of Judge Alphonso Taft, Cincinnati (1937-77), includes his 2012 article, "What was Frederick [Maryland] Reading in the 1790's?", library catalogs, inventories of historical figures and organizations from 1753-1868, and photocopies of historic publishers' book lists from 1833-1893.
