Description: Files of the ACRL Publications in Librarianship Board chairpersons/editors David W. Heron (1966-69), Kenneth Peterson (1972-76), Joe Kraus (1976-82), Arthur P. Young (1982-88), and Jonathan A. Lindsey (1988-93) relating to the consideration among board members of dissertations, reference books, proceedings and technical reports submitted for publication; as well as possible topics for publications. The board was established in 1952 as the Monograph Series Committee to provide a vehicle for publication of manuscripts too long for C & RL, but of interest to academic librarians. This series also includes correspondence with authors and ALA Publishing Services concerning editing and production of publications; a report concerning ACRL Publications in Librarianship history, procedures, and policy; applications for editor (1987); a publication guide for authors (1981-82); and minutes and correspondence from the ACRL Publication Committee (1978-92).
