Description: Award Committee Files, 1989-1997 include award notifications, correspondence, press releases and articles. This series also contains a booklet (1924) describing the award which is presented by the agriculture and Biological Sciences Section of ACRL to the compiler of the best bibliography of the year in the field of agriculture or the natural sciences. Eunice Rockwood Oberly was librarian of the Bureau of Plant Industry of the U.S. Department of Agriculture from 1908 to the time of her death in 1921. A memorial fund, amounting to $1,000, was established and a standing committee appointed in 1923 to administer the fund.
