Description: Correspondence and subject files of the Post-War Planning Committee, contains correspondence, reports, drafts, minutes, budgets, statistics, surveys, lists, proposals and plans concerning a restatement of public library standards -- Post-War Standards for Public Libraries (1943), undertaken by the ALA at the request of the National Resources Planning Board, a comparison of existing library services with the standards, the formulation of the detailed A National Plan for Public Library Service (1947) including a Plan for Public Library Service in America, and post- war planning for school, college and university libraries, includes correspondence with Carleton B.
