Papers (1976-2010) of Kathleen de la Peña McCook (formerly Heim), (Committee on the Status of Women in Librarianship Chair, 1980-82), contains biographical materials general correspondence, project files and publications, administrative and fact-finding material relating to COSWL, including committee budgets, minutes, work on co-sponsored programs, new appointments, pay equity, re-entry of women librarians into profession, unemployment, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, COSWL-ERA, revision of the Library Bill of Rights, COSWL at the San Francisco ALA conference and a scrapbook honoring McCook for her work on COSWL (1982), includes biographical materials with CV and McCook's ALA presidential scrapbook (1991-92), project materials with background information, questionnaires, correspondence preliminary and final reports of career profiles and sex discrimination in the library profession (1983), Barabra Ford's ALA inaugural address (1996), Global Reach/Local Touch (1998), Robert Wedgeworth's speech on global librarianship at the midwinter President's Program (1998), "A Librarian at Every Table: Beyond Partnership to Community Building" (2000), "Women of Color in Librarianship: An Oral History" (1998), studies of eight female librarians of color, and papers by members of Ford's presidential advisory committees.
