Biographical Note for Accreditation Committee : On June 21, 1956, the Council created the Committee on Acceditation (COA) (1). It is responsible for the execution of the accreditation program of ALA, and it develops and formulates standards of education for librarianship for the approval of Council (2).
Access Restrictions: For access to files less than 30 years old, users must provide the ALA Archivist with written permission from the ALA Accreditation Officer.
