Biographical Note for Lemke, Arthur B. : Andrew B. Lemke was the assistant to the President of ALA from 1945 to 1946. During that time, he developed a survey for the Audio-Visual Committee, financed by the Columbia Recordings Corporation, regarding libraries and their use of recordings [1]. He had previously been president of the ALA Trustees Division [2]. After he left ALA, he took a position with International Business Machine Corporation [1].
