Biographical Note for McDonough, Roger H. (1909-2002) : Roger H. McDonough was born in 1909 and died on December 2, 2001. He became the City Librarian of New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1937 and was then the State Librarian of New Jersey from 1947 to 1975. He was president of the ALA from 1968 to 1969. After retiring in 1975, he served as a legislative consultant to the New Jersey Library Association [1].
