Description: Sound recordings, including nine 78 rpm phonograph records and cassettes of folk tales, fairy tales and myths for children; AASL and Public Library Association radio spot announcements (1975-80); National Library Week spot announcements (1965); Sound recordings and audio tapes of celebrities promoting libraries and the ALA, an interview with Garrison Keiller (c1985), and a filmstrip/cassette set on new librarians and new users. The series also includes two 78 rpm recording "Your Library...Magnet or Monuments?" produced by the Missouri State Library and slide shows for the "ALA-What is it?" (1970) and "A Kaleidoscope of Library Service" (1976). Series also includes cassette and reel-to-reel magnetic tape recordings of celebrity public service announcements, promotions, and radio news segments and interviews relating to libraries and ALA campaigns.
