McDiarmid, Chairman of the Bibliography Committee (1936-39), relating to committee meetings, appointments, surveying ALA membership to determine types of bibliographies needed by the profession, working of Committee's statement of purpose, bibliographies published and in progress, questionnaires on purpose and activities of the committee (1938), annual reports taken form ALA Bulletin (1925-47) and a committee publication, A Restatement of the ALA Plan for the Promotion of Research Library Service by Cooperative Methods(1930). The series includes reports on the compilation of a universal bibliographical repertory, gathering of examples illustrating demand for research books, restatement of the ALA plan for the promotion of library service by cooperative methods, reports on cooperative cataloging and committee duties and activities, minutes and reports of meetings (1936-38).
