Description: Subject files of the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) Labor Committee, formerly known as the Joint Committee on Library Service to Labor Groups, including correspondence, articles, meeting minutes, and committee rosters pertaining to general committee activities, membership, special events for Labor History Month, the John Sessions Memorial Award (1987-2000), the RASD Section and Committee Chairs Statement of Purpose (1993), and Library Service to Labor Groups: A Guide for Action? (1989). The correspondence of committee co-chairs Anthony Sarmiento and John Schacht is also included. Also included are subject files pertaining to the Newsletter of the Joint Committee on Library Service to Labor Groups and production files including budget requests, printer's correspondence, production contracts, reprints and micro-reproductions. The Newsletter ceased publication with volume 22, number 2 (Spring, 1970).
