"The American Library Association Party about to depart for a hike in Paradise Valley, Rainier National Park, where the party spent several days following the national convention in Seattle, Wash. Here they are shown attired in hiking clothes, with Apline stocks and grease paint to prevent sun burn. The lower reaches of Mount Rainier, 14,408 feet high, its summit under a cloud cap, is shown in the background."
