The papers of Lucy Wilson Errett, Action Development Committee member, contains proceedings and papers of ALTA conferences and preconferences, ALTA publications, correspondence, mimeographed reports and minutes, newspaper clippings and notebooks, includes the handbook of library trustees, writhing and distributing a history of ALTA, the Los Angeles Trustees Conference (1953) and the ALA Preconferences (1961, 1963, 1964), the Action Development Committee and its subcommittee on newcomers guidance, the Illinois ALTA Membership Committee (1958-61), the Trustee Organization Association Survey Team and presentation of the ALA Woman of the Year Award (1945), and correspondence with George W. Coen, President of ALTA, B. F. Coen of Fort Collins, Colorado, Minnie Lou Lynch, President of ALTA, and Charles E. Reid, President-Elect of ALTA.

Lucy Wilson Errett was born in Washington, Indiana in 1887. She received her bachelor's in Library Science in 1910 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She became a librarian at the Kewanee Public Library in Kewanee, Illnois from 1910-1911.  In 1911 she married Albert Widney Errett, Jr (1). She later became a trustee of the Kewanee Public Library.
