A group of conference attendees from Utica, along with Mr. Hill, Mrs. Moses Wadley, and Nellie Wadley, at the ALA Annual Conference at Lakewood-on-Chautauqua, New York.
Caption reads: On a rustic bridge near the heart of Chautauqua we see a group trying to look as pleasant as possible, after being told that the bridge was old and unsafe for so many to stand on at once. [No. 37] This is the Utica group with Mr. Hill, Mrs. & Miss Wadley added.
