Historical Note: Daniel Lester was born on February 5, 1943 in California. He graduated from Northern Illinois University and the University of Chicago. He worked at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, the University of Mexico in Albuquerque, Fort Lewis College, and Boise State University. He retired in 2008 and passed in 2021 in Utah. Lester was an active collector of library collectibles, including posters, postcards, plates, and spoons.
