Name: Ring, Daniel F. (1945-)
Historical Note: Daniel F. Ring was born in 1945 in Milwaukee, WI. He received his B.S. in History (1968) and M.S. in History (1971) at the University of Wisonsin-Milwaukee, and M.S. in Library Science (1973) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He worked at the Cleveland Public Library as a History Bibliographer and Reference Librarian from 1974-1975, then went to work at Oakland University in Rochester Michigan as a Reference Librarian in 1975 and became an Assistant Professor. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1962-1970 (1). Many of his publications focus on library history (2).
