The digital surrogates of the sound recordings held by the Library and Information Science Library of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, consisting primarily of ALA recordings from Annual Conferences sessions and keynotes, and programming and conferences by ALA units. Topics cover accreditation, library education, public services, library technology, cataloging, reference, cartography, and women's rights. Speakers include Joan Mitchell, Tom Wicker, Frederico Mayor, F. William Summers, Arnold Wajenberg, Sharon Rogers, and John Scieszka.
Also includes recordings from the Special Libraries Association, Judith Krug at the University of Illinois Library Colloquium (1996), Robert Wedgeworth speaking at the University of Illinois Library (1996), and James Danky and Sanford Berman at the University of Illinois Krannert Art Museum (1997).
