Storyteller Kate Howard of Wake County Public Library winds up a story for her young listeners at the second annual week-long "Storytelling Festival in the Par" on the grounds of North Carolina's Capitol during National Library Week. The festival, which drew more than 100 childrens librarians from all over the state, and crowds of more than 6,000 visitors including the governor of North Carolina, was sponsored by the State Library of North Carolina.
