Caption on back:  Prof. Grant Fairbanks (left) and Dean W. L. Everitt with the "time compressor" invented at the University of Illinois.  The device speeds up words or music without changing pitch or ease of understanding.  As much as 50 per cent of time can be discarded without destroying understandability.
