Historical Note: The United Mime Workers (founded as the Hard Core/Hardcore Mime Troupe) were a mime and performance collective that arose out of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1971. Core members Bob Feldman (BA, Individual Plan of Study, 1973, Movement, Psychology, and Education; M.Ed. 1988, Adult and Continuing Education), Jeff Glassman (BA, Individual Plan of Study, 1973, Performing Arts and Experimental Composition), and Deborah Langerman (BA 1972, Communications; MS 1990, Library Science) performed with others until 1986.
